Island Spa & Sauna is modern Korean day spa that aims to revitalize your mind, body, and soul. They offer multiple unique dry saunas made of clay, rock salt, and charcoal, which tout unique health benefits. Relaxing, calming, and soothing. Much needed after a stressful week in the office or at home with the kids!
We both got our own half hour services which included a Swedish massage for me and a deep tissue massage for him. Talk about RELAXATION! The offer both half hours and hours for all services! You can also request a couples room so you can enjoy each others presence while you relax.
The Korean Spa, located in Edison, New Jersey, is also home to some amazing Korean and pan-Asian dishes. Did we mention they have an in-house sushi chef? YUP! Everything is cooked and made to order so it's 100% fresh! Mike and I ordered two delicious meals:
Dol Sot Bimbim Bap - which is basically a hot stone bowl mixed with rice, vegetables and a choice of beef or pork
Ojingeo Bulgogi - Spicy grilled squid (Might sound weird but it's my favorite ever)
Other dishes included soups, udon noodles, chicken teriyaki, and many more authentic dishes! I'd even come back just for the food!
On top of these 5 star dishes, they are also serving up some refreshing fresh pressed juices and smoothies at their Juice Cafe located inside the spa! Easy, convenient, and healthy!
They also have several flavored bubble tea's which I obviously had to try!
We had such an amazing experience at the Island Spa & Sauna and cannot wait to go back!
