Hear ye, hear ye! Your favorite southern diner chain has made its way up to Jersey! Since its beginnings in Jacksonville, this restaurant has been "Known for warm, welcoming service, familiar faces and award-winning food." This STILL holds true in the new East Brunswick, NJ location!
During our visit (first time Metro Diner goers), we've experienced the true southern hospitality and classic dishes! New Jersey is known for its diners so people may think "Really? Another one?" but this is more than just a diner... it's a place you take someone from out of town and get incredibly large portions! What else could you ask for?

If you know Mike and I, you know that we LIVE for the size of the plates. We ALWAYS come hungry and ready to try everything in sight. We are happy to say that we were beyond pleased with the portion sizes and for the first time in a while, I had leftovers to bring home. I know, a rare occasion! I would consider this more than diner food. It's "gourmet southern culinary with a twist."
What to try: Chicken and Waffles, Cheesy Tots, Flavored Coffee (preferably the chocolate strawberry!)
